To make the learning experience both fun and impactful, guests are given $1,000 in play money at the start of the day to bid on silent and live auction items. Throughout the workshop, attendees can earn additional play money by asking questions, participating in discussions, and engaging with vendors—mirroring real-life donor engagement strategies and sparking lively interaction.
But here’s the best part: the auction items presented are real—attendees will have the chance to win actual fundraising packages they can use in their own events. It’s a fun, hands-on way to explore new auction offerings and experience donor behavior firsthand.
