Connext | Sector Discussion: The Role of Nonprofits in Society

This roundtable will bring together emerging nonprofit professionals to engage in a thoughtful, led discussion on the purpose of nonprofits in society. Participants from various perspectives — nonprofit leadership, clients, donors, and program evaluators — will examine the balance between client needs and donor expectations, the importance of nonprofits regularly assessing their missions, and how organizations can stay grounded in truly serving the public good.

With a small group format, the conversation will be interactive and collaborative, offering space for real-time brainstorming and peer-to-peer learning.

• Participants share challenges and perspectives from their own  work
• Optional mini breakouts or side conversations encouraged as needed

• Groups share takeaways and insights from their discussions
• Exchange contacts and set follow-up commitments to keep ideas moving forward
