Kanbe's Markets and the Ivanhoe Neighborhood Center are hosting The People's Picnic—and we'd love for you to be there! This free, family-friendly event is a celebration of 816 Day and the people, spaces, and connections that make our neighborhoods what they are… BEAUTIFUL!

Bring a blanket, gather your people, and spend the afternoon with us enjoying:

Free fresh produce from Kanbe's Markets (plus info on where to find our store partners)
Delicious food from KC Pretzel Boys, Ruby Jean's, and Jack Stack BBQ & more!
Cotton candy, popcorn, and other sweet treats
Live music from Kadesh Flow and members of The Freedom Affair
Face painting, a bounce house, lawn games, and crafts for kids

This picnic is also a chance to connect with neighbors and local programs rooted in the community, including:

Build Trybe, Literary KC, Kansas City Public Library, and Prospect KC
A bike repair station hosted by 816 Bike Collective
A visit from the Kansas City Fire Department
