Work Schedule: The typical work week is forty (40) hours. During periods of high activity (i.e., during system maintenance, deployments, or urgent support needs). The position will require working during evenings and weekends during periods of high activity. This position requires travel. Throughout the year, you can be required to travel for up to 14 consecutive days. Travel is a mandatory requirement of having this position.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Integrate all aspects of the OBR way into day-to-day operations, mentoring and developing the department on the OBR Way.
- Supervise up to 5 personnel as a Director.
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train new staff in the department.
- Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations for personnel assigned.
Position Summary:
The IT Director is responsible for managing a modern, cloud-first infrastructure, ensuring secure and scalable systems, and delivering exceptional end-user support. This role will serve as both a strategic leader and a technical expert, leading IT projects, collaborate with software development teams, and serve as the primary escalation point for technical support. Additionally, the IT Director is responsible for overseeing collaboration tools — including the Webex platform and Webex Devices — and managing endpoint environments using Microsoft Intune and JAMF.
Essential Functions:
End-User Support & Troubleshooting
- Act as the primary escalation point for IT support issues across Windows, macOS, mobile devices, and SaaS tools.
- Provide support for hardware, software, networking, and collaboration platforms.
- Support and manage the Webex collaboration platform and Webex Devices, ensuring reliable video conferencing and meeting experiences.
- Train users on IT tools and promote best practices in productivity, security, and communication.
Cloud Infrastructure & Security:
- Demonstrate familiarity with AWS, Azure and GCP cloud services.
- Monitor and optimize cloud environments for cost, security, and performance.
- Enforce cloud security best practices including IAM policies, data encryption, and compliance controls.
IT Operations & Administration:
- Administer Google Workspace including user provisioning, group management, policies, security settings, and integrations.
- Manage endpoint devices through Microsoft Intune (Windows) and JAMF (macOS).
- Administer Cisco Meraki LAN/WLAN infrastructure and CradlePoint & PepLink routers for mobile/remote connectivity.
- Oversee AV equipment and conferencing hardware, specifically Webex Devices.
- Maintain documentation, SOPs, and asset inventory.
Project & Team Leadership:
- Lead IT-related projects, including infrastructure upgrades, software implementations, and internal development initiatives.
- Collaborate with software developers using agile methodologies to deliver reliable, scalable technology solutions in support of our web and mobile applications.
- Align IT initiatives with strategic goals and department needs.
Compliance, Vendor, & Asset Management:
- Ensure compliance with relevant IT policies and standards.
- Manage vendor contracts, software licensing, and procurement.
- Lead business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
- Assist with Information Security Awareness Training
- Complete administrative tasks including, but not limited to, expense submissions, paperwork, forms, company-assigned training, and document reviews.
- Work with supervisor to complete employee evaluations as assigned.

- Google Workspace Enterprise Administration
- Microsoft Intune MDM administration
- JAMF for macOS administration
- Cisco Meraki wireless/LAN infrastructure administration
- Cradlepoint/PepLink network administration
- Webex collaboration platform and Webex Device administration
- Strong troubleshooting and end-user support skills.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience working with software development teams is a plus.
Physical Demands:
The role involves regular use of computers and standard office equipment, along with frequent sitting, talking, and hearing. Candidates must be able to lift and move IT equipment—including computers, monitors, and networking hardware—up to 60 pounds. Tasks will occasionally require bending, kneeling, reaching, climbing ladders, or working in confined spaces such as under desks or in ceiling areas for hardware & network installation or troubleshooting.
