Activities & Member Engagement Coordinator

Status:                                            Part-Time (32 hours per week)
Schedule:                                       On-site, Monday-Friday, 8:30am start time
 
The Activities & Member Engagement Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of social activities, classes, workshops, and fitness classes for members of Northland Shepherd’s Center. In this rewarding position you will tailor activities to individual needs and abilities, manage support staff and volunteers, and ensure a safe and engaging environment for all participants; key duties include member engagement, developing activity schedules, coordinating events, managing budgets, and monitoring participant engagement levels.

Key responsibilities:

  • Planning and implementation:
    • Designing and coordinating a diverse schedule of activities based on participant interests and abilities, including social, physical, intellectual, and creative activities.
    • Leading activities and/or managing support staff, volunteers and contractors providing arts and crafts, recreation, exercise classes, music sessions, outings, and special events.
    • Adapting activities to accommodate varying levels of physical and cognitive abilities.
    • Leading member engagement activities to promote the Center’s programs, services and volunteer opportunities.
  • Team management:
    • Training, and supervising activity assistants and volunteers.
    • Delegating tasks and ensuring staff and volunteers are following safety protocols.
  • Administrative tasks:
    • Creating and managing activity budgets.
    • Maintaining detailed records of participant attendance and activity participation.
    • Communicating with staff and stakeholders.
    • Conducting surveys to assess participant satisfaction and identify areas for improvement 
  • Facility management:
    • Overseeing the use of activity spaces, ensuring they are guest ready.
    • Maintaining a safe and clean environment for activities.
  • Compliance and safety:
    • Adhering to all relevant regulations and safety standards regarding activity programming.
    • Monitoring participants during activities to ensure their safety and well-being.

  • Must have a valid current Missouri driver’s license, valid auto insurance and transportation
